When I ran my online store, I learned a LOT of things the hard way.
Don’t be like me.
If you sell your handmade work online, you NEED to understand the basics of search engine optimization aka SEO.
SEO is the process of tweaking your online shop to help your potential customers find you more easily in search engines like Google. (Not to mention Etsy & Amazon’s own internal search engines!)
I’ve been doing this handmade thing a long time (my first craft show was in 2004!) and by day I work at a top digital marketing agency where I help businesses big and small with SEO, social media and online marketing, so I know what I’m talking about.
DIY SEO for E-commerce is a self-paced online workshop will teach you the basics of getting more traffic from search engines and how to sell more of your products.
This workshop is specifically designed for artists, makers and #BadassCreatives. (That’s YOU!)
There are 10 short video lessons (between 5-12 minutes each) which also include a text transcription. The total runtime for the 10 video lessons is less than an hour & a half.
You can work at your own pace - watch the videos on your lunch breaks. You’ll have lifetime access!
Yeah, there’s some complicated, technical parts of SEO, but that’s NOT what I’m going to teach you in this online workshop.
I make it easy to understand and easy to take action.
“Whoah, DIY SEO was informative! My website is relatively new, but I'm always looking to tweak, improve, and generally make things better for all of you looking at my work. If the next two sessions with Mallory Whitfield are just as informative, get ready for some great changes (and I might need another notebook!)!” - Jordan

"Mallory was instrumental to the early days of my business -- in fact, she was one of the first people I came to for advice when I was preparing to launch my online store.
Later, once the business had grown, I came to her for consulting again. Her marketing advice was right on the money -- she offered clear answers to my questions and made navigating the (sometimes confusing and intimidating) world of SEO a breeze.
We had a lot of fun coming up with ideas for social media promotions, as well! And, most importantly, my store has seen a real increase of traffic as a result of her efforts." - Hope

How do you know about all of this stuff?
By day, I specialize in search engine optimization, social media and content marketing as Content Analyst at FSC Interactive, a leading digital marketing company in New Orleans, LA.
I've been doing this whole Internet thing for a pretty long time. I started my site, MissMalaprop.com, back in 2006, but I first started learning HTML and the basics of website creation back in 2001 while trying to make my LiveJournal look pretty. (Anybody remember LiveJournal??)
I ran my own e-commerce site for many years and I also sold at craft shows and art markets extensively around New Orleans. I even wrote a book about it called How to Make Money at Craft Shows!
In addition to training clients on the basics of SEO, I’ve also spoken about topics like Growing Your Brand on Instagram (iRetreat Conference and Rising Tide Conference, both in New Orleans) and Google Analytics for Bloggers (Thrive Blog Conference in Houston).
In 2016, I presented Content Hacking, FTW! [Grow Your Online Traffic with Epic Content] at New Orleans Entrepreneur Week and Wordcamp NOLA, plus I was a panelist at the Boost Your Business event hosted by Facebook at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
In April 2017, you can find me teaching at Craftcation Conference in Ventura, California.
I've learned a whole lot of stuff the hard way over the years, and I'd love to save you some time and trouble.
